High temperatures affecting Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka is currently experiencing a heat wave. Due to the change in weather, extreme heat has spread throughout Sri Lanka. Normally, the temperature that a human body can withstand is between 36-37 degrees Celsius. However, this time, the temperature has increased to a level that is unbearable for both the human body and the environment. As a result, we are facing unsustainable temperatures. This increase in temperature will have adverse effects on both humans and the environment. This includes forest fires, drying up of rivers, destruction of forest plantations, and the spread of diseases among people.
People are particularly susceptible to conditions such as headaches and dehydration. This is especially true for young children and the elderly.
Thus, we all need to work together to control this problem. Planting trees, using water sparingly, and protecting the environment are very important. We should also take steps such as drinking plenty of water daily and avoiding going out in hot weather.Ultimately, extreme heat is a problem that affects us all, so it is our responsibility to work together to control it.
Too hot at these days!!
